We all want to make the best out of our online classes, especially when there is no other option left. It seems that this dependency on online education today might become the trend of tomorrow. Plus, maybe you have realized that you can extend out to more students and more batches of classes with an online classroom system since a lot of time and energy get saved in not commuting and getting physically tired.

But have you wondered how you can make your online classes more effective and successful? We are bringing you some tools that you can use in your online classroom to enhance the overall classroom experience for yourself as well as for your students. Some or all of these features are often available on the platforms you are using for your online class.

1.      Whiteboard

Yes, just like a whiteboard, green board, or blackboard that you have in a normal classroom, you can have your whiteboard in your online classes which can be used for the very same purpose. You’ll have different options and tools for operating it at a quick go which will help you in drawing or writing text using different color markers while explaining a concept to your students.

2.      Polling

If you are unsure if your students are getting the concepts you are teaching them or are even listening to you or not, or have not disappeared after closing their video, you can check this by creating a poll anytime in the middle of the session.

3.      Class Recording

You can record your every class which will become your archive which you can upload and share with your students which will help them in revisiting your online lectures and revising it again for exams or whatever purpose. You can also upload it in the form of a series of lectures on a certain topic, for example, YouTube later. Or maybe make your own class 11^th Physics lectures DVD and sell it off in shops. Just giving you a few ideas. It is totally up to you though.

4.      Screen Sharing

This is a very helpful tool. With this tool, you can share your presentation, videos, or anything that exists in your system which can help in the learning for your students. However, just make sure that nobody else present in that class is able to access your system with this tool unless you allow them to. Do check out all the settings for it.

5.      Managing the team/ students

It is important to know the tools to be able to manage your students online. You should be able to mute the students, give them access to the participation and involvement in the class. For example, if for example, you are using a whiteboard, look for the settings and see how you are allowing your students to see and use the whiteboard which you are working on. Are you allowing them to write on your whiteboard? Are you able to see which student is making what changes to it? Are you able to shut the sound of your student who is not able to mute his or her call?

These kinds of tools will help you manage your classes and handle your students even when you are online with them and cannot really punish them by making them stand outside of the class if they misbehave and disturb your class.
