Eco-warriors: How are you responding to climate change?

Climate change. The situation is worse than we anticipated. The warming planet is causing arctic ice to melt, temperatures to increase, wildlife to disappear, sea levels to rise, rainfall patterns to change, and heat waves to occur— and these are just a few of the immediate detrimental effects of climate change.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals set the direction for solving multifaceted problems throughout the world but they cannot be achieved without a healthy environment. To truly transform societies, the world must take action and find better solutions to pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss in the next 10 years.

Now the question is: how can you as a student contribute to this cause?

Student perspectives are important in society as they are entitled as the key to success. As a student, taking steps towards eco-friendly practices will enable you to create an even brighter future for yourself and future generations. KidsChaupal can help you get started by taking the first step.

KidsChaupal has come up with the KC Eco-Warriors Contest in order to encourage students to be vocal about environmental issues in the world in which they live, whether they are local or global. Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to raise awareness about environmental issues and to inspire others to take action through their work.

There are six different categories of the KC Eco-Warriors Contest in which students can participate, including:

Lasting Impressions: Participants will be required to submit a clicked photo with a caption reflecting the underlying theme.

Ennovate: Environmental Innovation: Participants will be required to submit a project/product proposal on 'How to reduce, reuse, and recycle in an Indian household'.

EcoPhrase: This segment calls for participants to submit their slogans or poems on the underlying theme in the form of a document.

EcoGram: Participants will have to create a collage depicting a concept or solution with respect to the underlying theme.

Earth Saviours: Under this segment, participants will be asked to submit a short piece of writing or a small blog penned in the style of any historical famous figures’ approach to the climate change crisis.

Earth Ranger: Any student can be nominated/self-nominated for contribution towards the environment and/or anyone who has motivated you to lead a sustainable life

Our contest offers you the chance not only to help achieve sustainable goals, but also to enhance your Student Resume, acquire substantial experience, and be exposed and recognized. Further, you'll have the chance to network and meet new people, receive workshops and skill training from renowned industry figures, and win a scholarship!
