Devendra Jaiswal, co-founder of KidsChaupal, tells about how they have provided kids with a platform to enhance their skills and even become content creators.
These days, kids are mostly on TikTok and other social media platforms but how much of all these actually help kids improve their skills like writing, dancing, art, music, etc, is what Devendra Jaiswal, Co-founder of KidsChaupal, a comprehensive learning app for kids, is most concerned about. And this is what led him to launch this app in Bengaluru recently along with co-founders Ashish Srivastava and Rashmi Singh.
He says, "The motto behind launching the KidsChaupal app was to bring kids, teachers, mentors and parents on one platform and the other purpose was to encourage kids to produce their own content and post it on the app by creating their own profile. According to me, education is a part of learning and understanding concepts. Children must invest their time in different activities. Hence, we help them with the mentor ship and quality content required to improve their skills. Some children are good at writing, some at dance, music, art, digital marketing, entrepreneurship or AI-based applications. We provide mentors to guide children in all these areas. Whenever children feel like painting or writing or creating music, they can open our app, generate the content and post it on a page called Creative Corner."
An app for all users
Devendra believes that it is not just children who must be encouraged to do better through this app and so, they have targeted teachers as well. He explains, "This platform can help connect teachers from various schools and backgrounds under one umbrella. Through this, the teachers can manage the students' attendance, assignments, marks and they can easily send notifications to parents on a particular issue related to the child. The app also gives them an analysis of the performance of each child guided or trained by them."
The KidsChaupal mobile app is quite user-friendly. When you download the app, you need to create an account and fill in some basic information to get access to exclusive features. Meanwhile, teachers can create a business profile and manage packages according to the requirements. For parents and students, all the details about the teacher are mentioned on their business profile as the app allows them to upload their educational qualifications and their specializations. The students can customize the packages according to their requirements and the classes can take place at flexible timings. Moreover, the business profile tracks the current happenings as well, like details of the revenue generated, classes taken, how many kids were on board during the class and more.
Scholarship galore
Keeping the global education scenario and skill development in mind, KidsChaupal also provides a scholarship of up to Rs10 lakh to the students. Devendra explains, "We have a variety of categories under which we provide scholarship for kids. It includes entrepreneurship, visual art, sports, merit-based (all-rounders), performing arts, writing, dance, music and technology. Any student from across India can apply to this scholarship through the Creative Corner page available on the app. And the jury that consists of experts, internal members and a few external members will decide who gets the scholarship."
When we ask their reason behind giving awards to teachers, he says, "Everyone recognizes Virat Kohli and his batting style but very few know about Rajkumar Sharma who was his coach. We believe that if kids have to achieve success, then their coach, mentor or teachers are the main reason behind it. Therefore, we identify such teachers and award them with `5 lakh. This is our way of paying tribute to them and encouraging them to guide more children."
