This is a major problem faced by most of the students. Students get extremely panicky when they have to prepare the entire instructed syllabus properly within a very short period of time. The solution to this problem suggested by our elders is generally that we should have studied earlier and left this time for revision but many of us are unable to do that for some or the other reason. Okay, it is human nature that whenever we have to achieve any task in a very short time, we panic and start overthinking and that shorter time gets consumed by that overthinking only and the result is nothing. We should actually utilize that time by using our mind not for overthinking but for a solution!
Even when we search for the solution to this problem, we are still unable to follow them and hence never succeed. Actually this issue needs a planned method! So, if you have only a week left for your exams and want to prepare then follow these simple methods:
Firstly, you should have a complete focus on your task. Thinking about other things should be avoided as it only wastes your time. Get some motivational thought on your mind, such as, the result if you succeed and the respect you will get on getting good marks.
Second, keep the syllabus in front of you. Don’t start with directly opening your books but just think about the syllabus and the topics which you know and you don’t know. Mark all the topics which you know to boost your confidence. Then, mark the topics which you don’t know. Revise the topics you know in short time. Then start the topics you don’t know. Do them not in detail but only the main parts. This will bring you to the nearest end of preparation.
Third, prepare most suitable time table for yourself. Don’t arrange it according to the time but arrange it according to your tasks. Avoid excess seriousness in it but do it with full motivation. Don’t add fun time in whole study period but try to increase study time in the whole fun time. Leave scope for some ‘me time’ in it to make your timetable more realistic.
Fourth is, relax yourself. Have a talk with your friend and take his/her views on the topic but the main thing is to keep yourself in control. In case you want to introduce yourself with any topic or any chapter that your friend has already done, then discuss that topic with your friend (because sometimes we learn better through our friends). Don’t talk about unnecessary things. This will be a beginning of controlling yourself. You can also have a talk with your teacher. Your teacher may suggest you some important things that would help you a lot.
Fifth, stick to a plan. Be determined in your thinking. Don’t change your plans again and again because that can lead to confusion and wastage of time. Postpone your plans for a better result. Focus on main points, don’t go in detail if you are falling short of time.
And your problem will be solved just in these 5 steps! Don’t be fearful of hard work but be greedy for success and satisfaction.
